Artist's Description

Mother owl looking down on her chicks that are just a few days old after feeding them. The photo is even more special to me now since one of the babies died 2 days later. Nature can be cruel. This is from a nest in a remote location away from people I searched for and found and have spent countless hours and days watching, observing, photographing, videoing and just simply learning their behavior. It's been a fascinating learning experience. Shot from a camouflage blind and distance with a long lens so as not to disturb their natural behavior
